Bitcoin Cash (BCH) has experienced a significant surge of over 37% in the last seven days leading up to its upcoming halving event. BCH, a derivative of Bitcoin created in 2017, is currently valued at $573.39, a notable increase from its price of $418.46 a week ago.

The halving event for Bitcoin Cash is scheduled for April 3rd, as reported by the hash rate marketplace NiceHash. This event occurs every four years after 210,000 blocks, and on April 3rd, the block reward for Bitcoin Cash will be reduced from 6.25 BCH to 3.125 BCH.

Ranked 15th in terms of market capitalization, Bitcoin Cash has also seen a rise of over 6% in the last 24 hours. In comparison, Bitcoin's halving is anticipated to take place on April 19th.

Rekt Capital, a crypto analyst with a significant following on X social media platform, mentioned that BCH, Dogecoin (DOGE), and Litecoin (LTC) have either broken long-standing downtrends or are currently in the process of doing so. DOGE, a popular meme-based cryptocurrency, is trading at $0.219, showing a 17% increase in the last 24 hours and nearly 44% growth over the past week.

LTC, a decentralized payment network, is currently valued at $94.31 and has experienced a rise of almost 9% in the last seven days.
