Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) are experiencing an unprecedented surge in interest, surpassing the accumulation seen in the initial four weeks of trading within just four days. According to data from Apollo, a Bitcoin tracking platform, 10 Bitcoin ETFs have witnessed an inflow totaling $2.3 billion in Bitcoin over this short period. This stands in stark contrast to the 42,000 Bitcoin inflow recorded over the previous 20 days of trading.

Several Bitcoin ETFs have achieved significant milestones, with four – excluding Grayscale – now joining the "billionaire club." The latest addition to this group is the Bitwise Bitcoin ETF, confirmed on February 14th. Notably, Bitwise's achievement is particularly remarkable as it is the only crypto-native investment fund among the top providers, according to Nate Geraci, the president of the ETF store.

Prior to Bitwise, Blackrock's iShares Bitcoin Trust, Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Trust, and Cathie Wood's Ark 21Shares Bitcoin Trust had all surpassed the billion-dollar mark. However, others such as Invesco, VanEck, Valkyrie, and Franklin Templeton are still working towards this milestone, with assets under management (AUM) remaining below $500 million.

WisdomTree's Bitcoin Trust has been making slower progress in comparison, with AUM currently standing at a modest $23 million, placing it at the bottom among Bitcoin ETFs. On the other hand, BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust continues to lead the pack, becoming the first Bitcoin ETF to surpass $5 billion in AUM as of February 13th.

This surge in Bitcoin ETF inflows is viewed as a contributing factor to Bitcoin's recent price surge, surpassing $50,000 on February 12th, 2021. Clearly, market participants perceive these recent developments as positive catalysts for Bitcoin's ongoing growth.
