Earlier in the week, the cryptocurrency market experienced significant volatility as Bitcoin prices plummeted to a low of $66,011 on the Bitstamp exchange. This downturn coincided with a pause in inflows into Bitcoin ETFs after a continuous streak of 19 days.

However, market sentiment quickly shifted on Wednesday following the release of the US consumer price index (CPI) report, which indicated a slowdown in inflation. Bitcoin prices surged initially in response to the positive economic data but retraced gains later in the day. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell's remarks about cautious monetary policy further contributed to the market's cautious optimism.

Despite the renewed interest in Bitcoin ETFs, skepticism persists among some market observers. Peter Schiff, a prominent advocate for gold, warned against the long-term viability of Bitcoin ETFs, arguing that their buyers could become future sellers. Similarly, Michael Allegue of MassMutual cautioned that institutional investors accessing Bitcoin through ETFs might not hold their positions indefinitely due to portfolio rebalancing strategies.
