In the recent period, the digital asset market saw a substantial surge of more than $800 million, mainly driven by Bitcoin's dominance in the industry, as indicated by the recent data shared by CoinShares' research lead, James Butterfill. This surge signals a quick turnaround after observing nearly $1 billion in outflows just the previous week.

Bitcoin, along with the United States, received notable inflows during this recent period. Bitcoin observed a notable net flow of $865 million, primarily from investments in newly launched exchange-traded funds in the US market. Noteworthy players such as BlackRock IBIT, Fidelity FBTC, and Ark 21 Shares ARKB collectively enticed $1.53 billion in fresh investments. On the flip side, Grayscale's GBTC continued to witness outflows, with a substantial $960 million being withdrawn in the past week. This brings the total outflows from GBTC to over $6 billion in March alone, and a staggering $14.7 billion year-to-date.

The United States maintained its lead in the market due to the recent introduction of spot Bitcoin ETF products. Inflows in the region reached $897 million during the past week, resulting in a monthly total of $5.7 billion. In contrast, countries like Brazil and Australia experienced mild inflows of $2.9 million and $1.5 million, respectively. However, Canada and various European nations, including Germany, Switzerland, and Sweden, reported outflows ranging from $2.4 million to $20.3 million, aligning with their downward monthly trends.

Ethereum, on the other hand, continued to face a series of outflows, with an additional $19 million in negative flow, bringing its total outflows for the past month to $67.2 million. Despite this, some alternative coins witnessed positive momentum during this period, with Solana, Litecoin, XRP, Cardano, and Polkadot all attracting inflows. Solana led the way with $6.1 million in inflows, while XRP notably drew $3.8 million despite ongoing developments in the legal battle between Ripple and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Short Bitcoin products also registered outflows of $2 million, reflecting the returning optimism in the market as Bitcoin continued to stabilize around the $70,000 mark over the course of the past week. The crypto landscape is ever-changing, and Bitcoin remains a formidable force in leading market rebounds and overshadowing the outflows faced by Ethereum.
