U.S. voters are becoming more interested in bitcoin, driven by macroeconomic trends and its growth as an asset, according to a new Grayscale poll. Approximately 47% of American voters plan to include cryptocurrency in their portfolios, highlighting its significance in the upcoming November election.

The survey also revealed that 32% of voters are more willing to learn about crypto as an investment. This interest may be influenced by the fact that 28% of voters identified inflation as the most critical issue in the forthcoming U.S. election.

Geopolitical tensions, divisive political discussions, and ongoing inflation are pushing more U.S. voters toward bitcoin. Major developments, such as the approval of spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds, are also contributing to this trend, the survey indicated.

Grayscale noted that "crypto will increasingly be considered by policymakers and candidates across all offices preparing for the 2024 election."

Former President and leading 2024 Republican candidate Donald Trump recently expressed his support for the U.S. crypto economy, emphasizing the need for the U.S. to lead in the global crypto race.

Billionaire Mark Cuban, responding to Trump’s pro-crypto stance, suggested that the 2024 election could be influenced by the current state of crypto regulation. "If Joe Biden loses, there is a good chance you will be able to thank Gary Gensler and the SEC," Cuban stated in a post on X.

Grayscale’s survey, conducted before Trump's announcement, showed that voters are evenly divided on which party is more favorable to the crypto industry, with 30% each favoring the Democratic and Republican parties.

Meanwhile, bitcoin's price increased by 1.3% to $68,700 in the past 24 hours.
