This remarkable surge comes after a tumultuous start to May, which saw Bitcoin's price plummet to a multi-month low of $57,000. However, the cryptocurrency quickly recovered, breaking through the $65,000 mark on May 6. Despite a brief correction to $61,000 on May 10, Bitcoin's price has continued to rise, fueled by decreasing inflation rates in the US and increasing Bitcoin ETF inflows.

Ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency, has also experienced a significant upswing, breaking through the $3,100 barrier for the first time in over a week. While Ethereum had previously struggled to reclaim the $3,000 mark, it finally succeeded yesterday, reaching a high of over $3,100.

The total crypto market capitalization has also seen a substantial increase, reaching a staggering $2.56 trillion. Most larger-cap altcoins are in the green, with gains of around 1-2%. However, Toncoin and Near Protocol have bucked this trend, with losses of over 3% and 4%, respectively. Despite this, the overall crypto market is bullish, with Bitcoin's dominance over altcoins slightly decreasing to 51.6%.
