We understand that this is a time to spend time with friends and family, showing love and care through exchange of gifts and festivities. But we also know that the start of each new year heralds a lot of expenditure and recovery from the december spendings... ( it's a Detty December shaa).

This reality has many members of the Crypto and Web3 community on the lookout for better financial security options and this could lead to a spike in crypto prices due to fears of economic instability after these expenditures.

Gold and Silver Stocks already saw an increase in value due to the above reasons, surpassing the $2,018 mark on early Monday trading and with Bitcoin having been at a 52 -week high, speculations on a Crypto Christmas has been flying about….

Bitcoin and Festivities

Just like the Stock markets have a "Santa Claus Rally" phenomena during the festive season where everything experiences a spike in prices, historical data has shown that Bitcoin has also experienced this and this has led to potential forecasts and unique interest to see if that would be the case this season.

Backdating to December 2013, where Bitcoin saw a price surge from under $1000 to $1,147 per coin and the 2017 Holiday season where it soared from $8,500 to almost $20,000 , we can see that Bitcoin and the festive period has a bit of a history that favours investments....

Or so we thought because, fast forward to the 2012 holiday season, we saw the Bitcoin price peak at $69,000 in November with a subsequent slump in December and by the end of the year, Bitcoin was struggling to hold a $46,000 value (which has further fallen shaa...). thus questioning the consistency of this so-called "Santa Claus rally".

But still Undeterred speculation and the idea of a bitcoin Santa Rally is still on a high and this variant public sentiment could really affect the market give its size.

Is This the Historic Bull run??

Well, history has shown that these signs have preceded the historic crypto bull run though this santa claus rally has also been shown to only last a few hours with Bitcoin and all altcoins experiencing a price surge before returning to normal or falling lower....

Lets just take it that this is a very sensitive period for investments and all because a lot of persons would be reviewing their crypto assets and making plans for the new year with the economy being unstable due to the huge amounts of expenditure birthed by the festive season so in all, stay safe , stay strong and have a nice time with your family even as you plan the new year ahead.
