In response to recent developments, BlackRock has refuted any commercial affiliation with Hedera Hashgraph, particularly in relation to the tokenization initiative involving shares of BlackRock's ICS Treasury Fund. A spokesperson from BlackRock clarified that the firm had no involvement in Hedera's selection for tokenizing any of its funds, including the $22 billion money market fund.

The surge in Hedera's token value, exceeding 100% following the announcement by the HBAR Foundation regarding the tokenization effort, prompted market excitement. However, misconceptions arose as some erroneously inferred direct participation from BlackRock, a notion swiftly dismissed by BlackRock's spokesperson.

While Hedera's token experienced a significant surge, soaring to $0.176 on April 24, it later plummeted by 32.8% within 24 hours, settling at $0.118. BlackRock reiterated its commitment to transparent communication, asserting that any updates regarding its digital asset strategy would be communicated directly to the public.

The HBAR Foundation's announcement garnered significant traction, amassing over 2.9 million views and 3,200 reposts. Yet, clarification from Archax CEO Graham Rodford shed light on the decision-making process, indicating that while BlackRock was aware of the tokenization endeavor, it was Archax's initiative to tokenize shares of the money market fund on Hedera.

Despite the initial enthusiasm driving HBAR's price surge, the token remains down by over 78% from its September 2021 peak of $0.57. This stark decline underscores the market's volatility and the challenges facing digital asset investments.
