BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) is on a tear, shattering records and attracting a flood of investment. This isn't your grandpa's gold rush; it's a digital gold surge, and IBIT is the hottest pickaxe in the market.

Larry Fink, BlackRock's CEO, is practically giddy about IBIT's performance. In a recent interview, he declared it the "fastest-growing ETF ever," exceeding even his wildest expectations.

Investors are clearly smitten. Within a mere 11 weeks, IBIT has raked in a staggering $13.5 billion. That's right, over a billion dollars a week is pouring into this Bitcoin behemoth. The trust even hit a daily high of $849 million in inflows on March 12th, averaging a cool quarter-of- a-billion dollars daily.

Fink isn't just celebrating the windfall; he sees IBIT as a game-changer. It's bringing much-needed liquidity and transparency to the Bitcoin market, making it a safer and more inviting space for investors.

And that's not all. Fink remains bullish on Bitcoin's long-term potential, fueled by growing retail investor interest. IBIT currently boasts a war chest of $17.1 billion in Bitcoin, surpassing the $10 billion mark in a record-breaking two months (a feat that took the first gold ETF a sluggish two years!).

While IBIT holds the silver medal in terms of total Bitcoin holdings (second only to Grayscale's behemoth trust), it's clearly the crowd favorite. On March 27th, spot Bitcoin ETFs, led by IBIT's impressive $323 million single-day inflow, saw a combined net inflow of $243 million. Grayscale's GBTC, on the other hand, experienced a net outflow of $299 million that same day.

The good news keeps rolling in. The London Stock Exchange is joining the party, launching Bitcoin and Ethereum ETNs in May. Meanwhile, asset managers are scrambling to add Bitcoin as a portfolio diversifier, with a surge in demand for structured products.

Industry experts like QCP Capital predict Bitcoin's momentum will continue, potentially reaching the coveted $100,000 mark. With IBIT leading the charge, it seems the future of Bitcoin is shining brighter than ever.
