Resources. Most users often neglect this section of the explorer. I wouldn’t be exaggerating if I told you that you can go from zero to pro if you dedicate much of your time to studying this section— Alpha💡.

In this episode, we’ll take a deep dive and dig out these important tools. Hold my hands, let’s take a walk …

Here, we’ll be looking at five (5) interesting sections namely; Charts and Stats, Top Statistics, Directory, Newsletter, and Knowledge Base.

Charts and Stats.

This section gives us a graphical representation of a plethora of on-chain metrics. These are grouped into;

Market Data: Provides charts and statistics that show the price, volume, and market capitalization of Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies.

Blockchain Data: The number of transactions, gas usage, block size, and other metrics related to the Ethereum blockchain

Dashboards: This is a collection of dashboards that show real-time data on various aspects of the Ethereum blockchain.

Network Data: The number of nodes, hash rate, difficulty, and other metrics related to the Ethereum network can be seen here.

Top Statistics: Gives us an overview of DEX activities on the Ethereum Network.

Clicking on the DEX Activity gives us detailed information on the activities across all DEXes

ENS Data:

Shows the number of daily registrations of the Ethereum Name Service (ENS).

Contract

This chart shows the number of verified contracts on the Ethereum blockchain.

Clicking on the orange square in the picture above shows the 500 most recent verified contracts

2. Top Statistics

Users can be able to get data across top transactions, tokens, network activity, and an overview of these stats. We’ll take a look at these various stats here;

A general overview, sub-divided into; Transactions, Tokens, and Network, we can find the following metrics;

Transactions

Top ETH Sender: The Ethereum address that has sent the most Ether (ETH) in terms of value.
Top ETH Receiver: The Ethereum address that has received the most Ether (ETH) in terms of value.
Top Txn Count sent: The Ethereum address that has sent the most number of transactions.
Top Txn Count Received: The Ethereum address that has received the most number of transactions.

Tokens

Top Unique Sender: The Ethereum address that has sent the most unique tokens.
Top Unique Receiver: The Ethereum address that has received the most unique tokens.
Top Total Uniques: The total number of unique tokens sent and received on the Ethereum blockchain.
Top Txn Count: The token with the highest number of transactions on the Ethereum blockchain.

Network

- Top Gas Used, and Top Txn Count.

3. Directory

A curated list of and directory of valuable resources worth trillions of sats can be found here.

These include;

Exchanges: A list of exchanges where you can buy and sell Ether (ETH) and other cryptocurrencies.
Wallets: A list of wallets where you can store your Ether (ETH) and other cryptocurrencies.
Listing And Prices: A list of websites where you can find prices and market data for Ether (ETH) and other cryptocurrencies.
News and Forums: A list of news portals and forums where you can stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Ethereum and the blockchain space.
Events: A list of past and upcoming events related to Ethereum and cryptocurrencies.

- Learning Resources: A list of resources where you can learn more about Ethereum and cryptocurrencies, including tutorials, courses, and documentation.

- Smart Contracts: Contains smart contract services, audit, security and factory.

- Mining: A list of resources related to mining and discussions around mining.

- Others (Extra resources): Here, you can get access to grants, career openings and other valuable tools

4. Newsletter

Ethereum Newsletters can be found on this page.

5. Knowledge Base

Serves as a reference source for users (new and existing) seeking information, explanations, and tutorials on the Etherscan and the Ethereum blockchain.
