The new rollup-as-a-service solution aims to support projects with the technical infrastructure to deploy layer-2 networks on the BNB Chain.

The ecosystem driven by the BNB BNB is called BNB Chain. tickers lower $582 token, a rollup service option for creating layer-2 blockchains on its network, has been revealed.

Rollup-as-a-service (RaaS) was introduced by BNB Chain on March 14th, with the goal of assisting projects in creating layer-2 networks on the platform. By providing projects with access to the technological infrastructure needed to implement layer-2 networks on the blockchain, the service will grow the ecosystem of BNB Chain.

Additionally, BNB Chain clarified that the service is compatible with decentralised apps (DApps). This makes it possible to implement a variety of project verticals on layer-2 networks, such as decentralised finance and blockchain games. Furthermore, BNB Chain offers rollup management help as well as a "no-code" deployment option for projects whose members may not be proficient in coding.

The BNB Smart Chain (BSC), which they referred to as their "foundational layer-1 blockchain and governance chain," will serve as the foundation for the layer-2 networks created by BNB Chain's RaaS service, the BNB Chain team indicated.

The new service aligns with the objective of the BNB Chain core development team, which is to facilitate the widespread use of Web3 technology. They declared:

“By combining the power of RaaS and the interconnectivity capabilities of our ecosystem, developers will have a comprehensive toolkit to build efficient and scalable layer-2s on BSC.”

Since 2023, BNB Chain has dedicated a great deal of its resources to layer-2 networks. It debuted its layer-2 scaling solution, opBNB, on a testnet on June 20, 2023. It is based on the Optimism OP Stack. The layer-2 solution can be used with Ethereum-based smart contracts and token standards since it is compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine.

On Sept. 13, the scaling platform was deployed onto a mainnet, making opBNB publicly available after a testing phase. BNB Chain reported that the platform handled more than 35 million transactions and 150 DApps deployed on its testnet run. The project also claimed that the opBNB platform hit 4,000 transactions per second (TPS) on a stress test.

The new rollup service is a part of BNB Chain's attempts to meet the objectives it established earlier this year, the company claims. The company unveiled its "BNB Chain 2024 Outlook" on January 31. In it, it presents the "One BNB" interconnectivity concept, which connects BSC and BNB Greenfield, its decentralised storage service.
