The BNB Chain team declared that they will introduce liquid staking services on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) as part of the transition from BNB Beacon Chain's functionality to BSC. They mentioned that BNB Beacon Chain will be completely closed by June 2024, but services will be transferred to BSC before that.

The team explained that enabling liquid staking on BSC will allow users to secure the network while keeping their assets liquid. Although no specific launch date was provided, the team suggested that this service would be available in April or May.

The core development team of BNB Chain described the transition to BSC as a way to optimize the network, increase efficiency, reduce security risks and meet technological demands. They mentioned that this move is part of their growth plans to attract more users to the BNB Chain network.

In addition, the team emphasized that liquidity staking would reward BNB stakers, improve network security, and provide users with more staking options. By staking their assets, users can receive liquidity provider tokens to use in various ecosystem activities.

Furthermore, the team announced that liquid staking and maximum extractable value (MEV) optimization for BNB Chain will be implemented together. Validators who enable MEV will have the opportunity to increase their staking returns through MEV revenue included in the Liquidity Staking rewards.
