As noted by ZachXBT, a crypto investigator and holder in the Bored Ape Yacht Club, someone lost three NFTs worth 5,8505 ETH, approximately $164,400, to a scammer via a phishing attack.

The Bored Ape NFTs in question, according to OpenSea reports, are BAYC #7531, 6736, and 2100, valued at 21 ETH ($62,960), 15,8505 WETH ($47,500), and 18 ETH ($54,000) respectively. Each NFT has unique attributes like white fur, a small grin, and a bored pizza character.

Despite the loss of these valuable NFTs, the bottom prices for Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs have decreased in recent months, with the lowest price hitting 15.09 ETH. However, the collection has still seen significant trading volume, totaling $13.3 million.

Phishing scams, according to the FBI, employ spoofing techniques to deceive individuals into divulging personal information, with some scams netting as much as $24 million from a single victim. This highlights the importance of further investigation into such incidents to protect against future occurrences. Social media and websites often serve as prime hunting grounds for these criminals.
