BRC20 has recently unveiled its Layer2 platform called BL2, aimed at integrating ZK-Rollup with Bitcoin and implementing multi-node authentication on the Layer2 network. This move is designed to enhance the security aspects of zero-knowledge proofs and mirrors the security consensus of Bitcoin.

BL2, developed by a group of BTC core developers and early collaborators, is a manageable BTC Layer2 platform built on the VM universal protocol and BTC security foundation. Its objective is to establish an exclusive BTC Layer 2 ecosystem by providing a platform for dApps and smart contracts.

The VM, at the core of Layer2, is based on the VM universal protocol and facilitates the creation of an independent authentication and consensus infrastructure for Bitcoin block header information. This is achieved by transferring Layer 2 block header summary information to the BTC Layer 1 network for authentication, ensuring the safety of the Bitcoin network without congestion from contract layer functions on the mainnet. Additionally, BL2 integrates ZK-Rollup into the BTC Layer 2, enabling multi-node ZK authentication on the Layer 2 network. Its key components include wallet, cross-chain bridge, consensus algorithm, and VM protocol.

The BTC Layer 2 high-frequency chain enables multi-protocol BTC asset transfers and facilitates fast and cost-effective transactions on Layer 2. The BTC roll-up establishes a ZK roll-up connection between BL2 and the Bitcoin network to facilitate cross-chain functions and protocol calls with ETH and various other Layer 2 networks. It also sets up a standard protocol adaptability for multiple mainline VMs for asset cross-chain and protocol calls.

Key features include support for cross-chain inscription management, Bitcoin smart contracts, Bitcoin DeFi, a standard BIP algorithm, a VM standard protocol, and an inscription support mechanism. BL2 promises a faster and more cost-effective Bitcoin network with robust Layer 2 protection backed by Bitcoin security features. Comprehensive inscription is maintained throughout the chains, with BL2 initially focusing on inscription devices on mainline chains.

The BL2 token, $BL2T (BRC-20), has a supply limit of 21,000,000. Its governance token for the BTC network L2 includes various allocations such as gas burning, OG mining plan, node rewards, team allocation, marketing costs, user trading benefits, SWAP liquidity improvement, and IDO.
