The indictment further alleges that throughout the planning, execution, and aftermath of the illicit activity, Anton and James Peraire-Bueno actively sought out information online pertaining to various aspects of the scheme, including its execution, methods to obfuscate their involvement, potential avenues for laundering criminal proceeds through cryptocurrency exchanges with lax KYC procedures, legal representation specializing in cryptocurrency cases, extradition procedures, and the specific charges outlined in the indictment.
