Btrust Builders Fellowship announced the commencement of its first cohort for the year in a press release. The cohort, which begins on the 22nd of January 2024, comprises 55 fellows who, having undergone scrutiny, were considered qualified to join for three (3) months cohort duration.

They mentioned that for the duration of the cohort, the fellows are entitled to monthly stipends. Upon successful completion, top participants would have the opportunity to join internships and take up positions in different establishments.

Btrust Builders is spearheading Bitcoin education across Africa. This vision emanated from the notable underrepresentation of the global South(especially Africa) among key players and critical decision influencers of Bitcoin and the lightning network. Consequently, positioning Africa as just consumers rather than producers of the technology.

Btrust aims to equip tech engineers with all-round skills and knowledge to contribute to the development and innovation of the Bitcoin and Lighting network. Thereby, balancing the representation of the Global South with the North.
