BTC's price trajectory mirrored its initial ascent towards $70,000, as evidenced by data from Cointelegraph Markets Pro and TradingView, indicating a sudden surge above $69,000 and reaching local highs of $69,781 on Bitstamp.

With the closing hours fast approaching, traders reminisced about similar weekend scenarios, anticipating continued upward momentum into the new week.

Popular trader Daan Crypto Trades observed the weekend's atypical price action, noting a consistent upward trend rather than the usual stagnant movement. This pattern was reminiscent of previous moves during Bitcoin's initial ascent to $70,000+, often followed by a rapid retracement post-futures reopening.

According to Michaël van de Poppe, founder and CEO of MNTrading, the critical zone just above $69,000, where BTC/USD was trading at the time, held significant importance. A breakthrough above this level could potentially lead to a strong continuation towards pre-halving all-time highs, though a bearish divergence hinted at the possibility of price rejection around $72,000.

Echoing a positive outlook, renowned trader and analyst Rekt Capital suggested that Bitcoin was well-positioned for a bullish weekly candle close, provided it maintained levels above ~$69,000 until the week's closure.
