Enhancing Community Governance

Although just a starting point, the interim constitution is not final and will be quickly adapted throughout governance development stages. As Cardano gears up for a new phase, the temporary constitution will be actively applied to oversee governance processes.

By ensuring all stakeholders have a voice and influence under this governance structure, its legitimacy is upheld. Coinciding with the preparations for the upcoming Chang hard fork expected in 2024, the initial framework of the temporary constitution is being introduced.

The implementation of a confidential ballot technique will mark a significant step following the hard fork. The governance model of Cardano will be shaped by the future actions of this method. Post hard fork, the community will get to know the Delegate Representatives (DReps), who will play a key role in governance.

These community members will strive to establish an efficient and fair voting system to consider various proposals. The objective is to ensure that all community members can participate in and observe the decision-making process.
