Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, has once again stirred up the XRP community, but this time, he's offering a potential olive branch. Hoskinson has demanded an apology from the XRP community and Ripple executives before considering a collaboration between the two blockchain platforms.

During an X Space meeting, Hoskinson expressed his desire for the XRP army and Ripple executives to apologize for "blowing things with Cardano out of proportion." He claimed that the non-support for XRP by Cardano was a consequence of the XRP community's actions, which included calling ADA a "shitcoin" and trolling Hoskinson as the founder of Cardano.

The tension between Hoskinson and the XRP community dates back to around two years ago, when Hoskinson made comments during an online interview that were perceived by some as "conspiracy" theories related to Ripple and XRP. This led to the XRP community requesting an investigation into Hoskinson's background on Ethereum, even though he had been with the network for six months.

Interestingly, Cardano was considering a collaboration with Ripple and its CEO, Brad Garlinghouse, on a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) project just before this incident. However, the fallout between Hoskinson and the XRP community put an end to those plans.

In the months that followed, it seemed like Hoskinson was open to reconciling with the XRP community, but the war continued to deepen. Four months ago, Ripple CTO David Schwartz asked Hoskinson to review his opinion of XRP, but Hoskinson responded by bashing the XRP community on the X app, calling it "toxic and petty" and dismissing any possibility of a collaboration.

Now, Hoskinson's request for an apology suggests that he may be open to a reconciliation with the XRP community. However, the community has once again felt attacked by his current comments, and it remains to be seen how the situation will evolve.
