Hoskinson attributes this sentiment to "alignment" training, where "certain knowledge is forbidden to every kid growing up, and that's decided by a small group of people you've never met and can't vote out of office." To illustrate his point, he shared screenshots of two different AI models responding to a prompt about building a Farnsworth fusor, a potentially dangerous device.

ChatGPT 4o and Anthropic's Claude 3.5 Sonnet, both top AI models, acknowledged the potential danger of the device but still provided information on its components and history. This response aligns with Hoskinson's concern and the thoughts of many other thought and tech leaders who have expressed worries about the rapid development and deployment of AI technologies.

Earlier this month, a group of current and former employees from AI companies like OpenAI, Google DeepMind, and Anthropic, outlined various problems associated with AI, ranging from the spread of misinformation to the possible loss of control over autonomous AI systems and even the risk of human extinction.

Despite these concerns, the introduction and release of new AI tools into the market continue. Recently, Robinhood launched Harmonic, a new protocol that is a commercial AI research lab building solutions linked to Mathematical Superintelligence (MSI). As the AI landscape evolves, the debate around censorship, safety, and the responsible development of these technologies remains a pressing issue that requires ongoing dialogue and action from the tech community and society as a whole.
