Cardano, the prominent blockchain network, has recently faced a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack, but the protocol has remained resilient and operational despite the onslaught. According to reports, the DDoS attack on Cardano began at Block 10,487,530. However, unlike many other blockchain networks that may have experienced a chain halt or significant disruption, Cardano has continued to function seamlessly. The Fluid Tokens CTO, "elraulito," provided insights into the attack, explaining that the attacker is executing each transaction with a total of 194 smart contracts. The attacker is spending 0.9 ADA per transaction, filling each block with numerous such transactions. Despite this onslaught, the Cardano network has remained operational, with no chain halt or congestion.

What's even more surprising is that the price of ADA, Cardano's native token, has jumped by 7% to $0.3964 during this period. In the past 24 hours, the price has soared from a low of $0.3667 to a high of $0.3968, showcasing the network's resilience and the market's confidence in its ability to withstand such attacks.

Cardano is currently undergoing a significant evolution within its ecosystem, with the upcoming Chang hard fork scheduled to go live by the end of this month. This upgrade will transition Cardano into a self-governing protocol, further strengthening its decentralized nature.
