Ark Invest CEO Cathie Wood has announced her intention to vote for former US President Donald Trump in the upcoming November elections.

Wood shared this during a weekend interview with financial analyst Kevin Paffrath, stating:

“I will vote for the person who will best support our economy. My vote is driven by economic factors. Based on that, I choose Trump.”

She attributed her decision to economist Arthur Laffer’s assessment of the first three years of Trump’s presidency as "the best in US economic history."

Wood joins other prominent figures in the crypto industry in endorsing Trump. Recently, the former President has taken a more supportive stance toward cryptocurrency, pledging to back the industry and end the Biden administration’s "war on crypto" if re-elected.

Trump has also promised to make the US a leader in Bitcoin mining, describing the cryptocurrency as potentially the "last line of defense" against a central bank digital currency (CBDC).

Cryptocurrency has become a significant issue for American voters this election cycle, with many likely to support Trump due to current administration policies.

The endorsement of Trump by Wood aligns with other major crypto stakeholders and billionaires supporting his re-election. Last week, Gemini co-founders Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss each donated $1 million in Bitcoin to Trump’s campaign and declared their support, stating:

“President Trump is Pro-Bitcoin, Pro-Crypto, Pro-Business. He will end the Biden Administration’s war on crypto.”

Additionally, venture capitalist David Sacks expressed his support for Trump, citing concerns about President Joe Biden’s economic policies. He said:

“I endorse our 45th President, Donald J. Trump, to be our 47th President, based on four key issues critical to American prosperity, security, and stability—areas where the Biden administration has faltered and where I believe Trump can lead us back.”

According to Polymarket data, Trump currently has a 57% chance of winning, compared to Biden’s 34%.
