The Celestia Foundation recently announced a partnership with the Arbitrum Foundation, integrating with Arbitrum Orbit. This collaboration marks Celestia as the first modular data availability network to join forces with Arbitrum Orbit.

Developers on Celestia now have the option to publish data to Arbitrum Nova, Arbitrum One, and Celestia, or create their dedicated orbit chain on Arbitrum Orbit, settling into one of Arbitrum’s L2 chains, including Arbitrum Sepolia, Arbitrum One, Arbitrum Goerli, and Arbitrum Nova.

This integration has resulted in the most advanced scaling Blockchain solution available, offering a modular consensus and data network that scales safely based on user volume. It's optimized to handle the data throughput needed for millions of rollups without compromising security.

Developers from both Arbitrum and Ethereum can access Celestia through Blobstream, currently sharing data with the Ethereum Sepolia testnet, and deploy it on Arbitrum Layer 2 chains for implementation with Arbitrum Orbit and its Nitro stack.

Elias Abi Daoud, Arbitrum Foundation’s Community Lead, expressed excitement about the collaboration, highlighting how the permissionless nature of Orbit will expand supported data availability opportunities beyond Ethereum. Mustafa Al-Bassam, Celestia co-founder, emphasized Celestia's mission to simplify blockchain deployment, merging Celestia’s modular DA layer with Arbitrum’s vibrant ecosystem, enabling developers to launch customizable, high-throughput chains using Stylus and Orbit.
