Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, is focusing on two significant upgrades amidst recent criticism directed at the Cardano network and its native token.

In response to skepticism surrounding the blockchain, Hoskinson expressed confidence in Cardano's ecosystem. He emphasized Cardano's leading path in scalability, governance, and innovation, highlighting the strength of its community despite the recent criticisms.

Hoskinson's optimism stems from the upcoming Chang hard fork, scheduled for the second quarter of this year. This fork marks a pivotal moment in Cardano's roadmap, ushering in the Voltaire era and introducing community-run governance to the blockchain. Through on-chain community consensus, ADA holders will have the opportunity to vote on proposals, facilitating decentralized governance.

The Chang hard fork is a significant step towards achieving full decentralization by empowering the community to participate in governance decisions.

Looking ahead, Cardano's transition will introduce Delegate Representatives (DReps), host a Cardano Constitution Convention event, and conduct a community vote to ratify the Cardano Constitution.

Hoskinson also highlighted the importance of Ouroboros Leios, a new version of Cardano's proof-of-stake consensus model. This upgrade aims to enhance throughput, scalability, and transaction speed while maintaining decentralization.
