A recent report indicates that the Chinese crypto community has identified Ethereum, Arbitrum, and BNB Chain protocols as their preferred platforms. This trend may act as a bullish catalyst for tokens linked to these protocols, especially as Hong Kong opens up to retail crypto investors.

TechFlowPost, a Chinese crypto media outlet, shared this insight on Twitter, noting the growing popularity of these platforms in China. The momentum in the Chinese crypto narrative is partly driven by Hong Kong's announcement of retail crypto trading, which began on June 1. This move has sparked considerable interest and price increases in various cryptocurrencies and their blockchains.

The report highlighted that over 21 million Chinese-speaking users across Asia are now engaged in the crypto space. Among them, Ethereum is the top choice for 85.4% of Chinese investors as their primary Layer-1 blockchain. Arbitrum, a popular Layer-2 scaling solution, is preferred by 68% of these investors, while BNB Chain holds the favor of 56.2%.

These three protocols host a range of decentralized applications (dApps), games, infrastructure projects, and NFTs. Other significant protocols in the Chinese crypto narrative include Solana, Optimism, Polygon, Avalanche, and Cosmos.

In addition, the report identified several cryptocurrencies—Galxe (GAL), 1inch Network (1INCH), The Graph (GRT), Avalanche (AVAX), Polkadot (DOT), and Filecoin (FIL)—as leading choices in the portfolios of venture capitalists. With Hong Kong's retail crypto trade now live, these cryptocurrencies are expected to see increased interest and potentially significant growth.
