The host of the well-known crypto market commentary show Coin Bureau suggests that several decentralized finance (DeFi) altcoins are staging a resurgence.

In a recent YouTube update, Coin Bureau's host, referred to as "Guy," observes that DeFi is experiencing a revival despite widespread predictions of a bear market in the crypto space.

He highlights the recent rally of Aave ($AAVE), a non-custodial liquidity protocol, attributing it to the project's launch of a new decentralized stablecoin. According to The Daily HODL, Guy commented:

"While Aave's recent rally is remarkable, a broader view indicates that the token remains in a long-term downtrend, although there's potential for testing the upper limit of the descending channel observed since last summer."

Guy forecasts that Aave's price could potentially reach $120. Additionally, he expresses optimism about THORChain ($RUNE), noting a recent surge following news of developers working on a decentralized exchange aggregator. He predicts that the coin could experience another speculative surge upon the project's release.

The host also mentions the recent rally of Uniswap ($UNI) as another DeFi project. While Guy does not provide an explanation for the coin's price increase, he acknowledges an increase in trading volume on the platform.

$AAVE serves as the governance token for Aave, a decentralized non-custodial liquidity market protocol. Depositors provide liquidity to earn passive income, while borrowers can access loans in either an overcollateralized or undercollateralized manner. $AAVE is used for voting on Aave Improvement Proposals (AIPs) and can be staked within the protocol's Safety Module for security/insurance, allowing stakers to earn rewards and fees.

According to a report by The Daily Hodl, Guy shared with his over two million YouTube subscribers that $AAVE remains undervalued:

"Aave's ecosystem reserve currently holds only 1.7 million AAVE, and the number of AAVE token holders continues to rise, likely due to the decreased token price, making it more attractive to investors who overlook market cap."

However, he believes that the introduction of the dollar-pegged decentralized algorithmic stablecoin $GHO by Aave Companies on July 7 could boost demand for $AAVE:

"The AAVE token's utility is currently limited to governance and staking, but the introduction of the GHO stablecoin should increase demand for AAVE since it allows Aave stakers to mint GHO at near-zero interest rates."

Regarding the future price of $AAVE, he adds:

"While Aave's future demand improvements may not significantly impact the current crypto bear market, they are poised to propel the Aave token to higher levels in the next bull market, particularly if the GHO stablecoin gains significant adoption."
