Coinbase's Base Layer-2 solution has surpassed Arbitrum and Ethereum in daily transactions with a notable increase in total value locked.

In the past 30 days, Base has seen a surge in transactions, reaching 45.21 million compared to Arbitrum One's 38.58 million and Ethereum's 37.93 million. Despite Arbitrum Nova having the highest transaction count of 81.31 million in the same period.

Base's total value locked currently stands at $3.89 billion, showing a nearly 20% increase in transaction volume over the last week. In contrast, Arbitrum One has experienced a transaction decrease of 4.87%, resulting in a TVL of approximately $18.45 billion. Ethereum's TVL has also dropped by 4.24% to $40.02 billion.

Base's Transactions Per Second (TPS) has reached 35.16 with a 36.12% increase, surpassing Arbitrum at 17.80 and Ethereum at 14.38. Other L2 solutions, like Zora, have also seen significant TPS improvements, registering over 700% with a TPS of 10.95.

The recent boost in Base's metrics follows various developments in the L2 ecosystem, including the storage of user's USDC balances on the network. Coinbase's Vice President announced plans to incorporate more functionality, potentially including the introduction of a Base token, to enhance the network's performance and efficiency.
