Ledger has announced the successful integration of Coinbase Pay with its Ledger Live app, enabling users to receive tokens from Coinbase directly on their Ledger device. This collaboration aims to enhance accessibility, seamlessness, and security in cryptocurrency purchases, ultimately facilitating the transition from exchange platforms to self-custody.

The integration allows customers to transfer their crypto holdings via desktop or mobile devices using Coinbase Pay within Ledger Live. Currently available in select regions including the UK, US, EU, New Zealand, Brazil, Canada, Australia, and Singapore, future expansions are anticipated to extend this functionality to more regions.

It's worth noting that this partnership does not alter payment preferences on Coinbase, which continues to support Visa, ACH, Maestro, and MasterCard.

By joining forces, Coinbase and Ledger Live aim to overcome potential threats and simplify the token transfer process, making deposits and withdrawals more straightforward with just a few clicks.

Coinbase Pay is accessible within the buying section of Ledger Live, maintaining the same cost structure as before. This integration promises seamless crypto transfer and management, offering benefits such as convenience, security, speed, and cost savings.

Users no longer need to undergo an additional KYC process if they are already Coinbase users, saving time and streamlining the process. Additionally, the collaboration ensures secure withdrawals and deposits with enhanced security measures.

To purchase cryptocurrencies using Coinbase Pay through Ledger Live, users can simply open the Ledger Live mobile app, tap the Buy button, compare providers, select the desired crypto, enter the amount, specify the country, and choose the eligible payment provider, in this case, Coinbase.
