Coinbase, the leading cryptocurrency exchange in the United States, has revealed its potential interest in listing an altcoin that is part of the Bitcoin (BTC) scaling ecosystem. The exchange has added Core (CORE) to its listing roadmap, indicating that it may offer trading support for this altcoin in the future.

Core is designed to be a highly scalable complementary smart contract platform to Bitcoin. Its ecosystem consists of several key components, such as the Satoshi Plus consensus mechanism, non-custodial staking, and a native version of wrapped Bitcoin.

Currently, CORE has a market capitalization of $1.96 billion and a fully diluted valuation of $4.64 billion. Crypto analyst Altcoin Sherpa considers CORE as one of his altcoin bets for the Bitcoin ecosystem, anticipating a significant rally in the near future. He suggests that CORE could potentially reach a price of $2.50 or more in the mid-term, provided that Bitcoin remains stable.

In 2022, Coinbase introduced its listing roadmap to enhance transparency and minimize the risk of investors capitalizing on new trading support announcements before they are made public.
