Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo is making waves in the digital space with the launch of a new non-fungible token (NFT) collection in collaboration with Binance. This collection, "Forever Worldwide: The Road to Saudi Arabia," commemorates various stages of Ronaldo's extraordinary career, from his early days in Madeira to his achievements at Manchester United and Real Madrid.

Continuing his foray into the Web3 world, Ronaldo aims to give fans unique digital artworks representing memorable moments from his journey. The collection features NFTs designed by artists from Madeira, Lisbon, Manchester, Madrid, Turin, Saudi Arabia, and Portugal, capturing the essence of each significant phase of his career.

In an interview with Cointelegraph, Sarah Dale, Binance's head of brand partnerships, shared insights into the project. The collaboration involved local artists to create unique designs for each NFT, enhancing the sentimental value of the collection. Ronaldo expressed his excitement about the project, emphasizing the goal of creating lasting digital memories for his fans and offering exclusive experiences.

“Working with artists who truly capture the essence of each place makes this experience even more meaningful. As NFTs, these moments in my journey can live on forever,” Ronaldo stated.

The "Forever Worldwide" collection is set to launch in two phases before the 2024/2025 football season. The first phase, released on May 29, includes artworks from Madeira, Lisbon, and Manchester. Madeira is represented by artist Katt Phatt, Lisbon by Rodrigo Doin, and Manchester by John Sheehan, each capturing Ronaldo's early career and his time with the Red Devils.

The second phase, scheduled for June 6, features artworks representing Madrid, Turin, and Saudi Arabia. Spanish artist Lisett Ledón, Italian artist Pasquale Garibaldi, and Saudi artist Shaker Kashgari have crafted pieces reflecting Ronaldo’s tenure at Real Madrid, Juventus, and his current club, Al-Nassr FC.

Additionally, seven "super, super rare NFTs" will be auctioned later in June, designed by Portuguese street artist Mr. Dheo. These limited-edition NFTs celebrate Ronaldo's enduring career with the Portugal national team and come with an array of real-world rewards. Collectors can expect vintage jerseys, football tickets, signed posters, and even personalized video messages from Ronaldo.

Dale highlighted the interactive aspect of the collection, noting that Ronaldo enjoys engaging with his fans. “He loves meeting his fans. We prepare him with scripts, but he really goes off-script and engages with his fans. His happiest time on set was when his fans were there last time,” she shared.

The seven super rare Portugal NFTs will include an exclusive in-person experience with Ronaldo. This special reward features a trip to Riyadh to attend a match and a personalized goal celebration moment with the football star.

The launch of this NFT series not only celebrates Ronaldo's illustrious career but also bridges the gap between the digital and physical worlds, offering fans an opportunity to own a piece of football history while enjoying unique, personal interactions with their idol.
