In recent findings by Thor Hartvigsen, a well-known figure in the crypto community, a significant rise in altcoins supply has been noted over the last four months. Hartvigsen highlighted an infusion of $8.6 billion in additional liquidity into the crypto market since the beginning of the year. He also predicts that crypto projects will unlock an additional $70.5 billion in liquidity in the years ahead.

Hartvigsen pointed out that the average float in market capitalization and fully diluted valuation (FDV) of newly launched tokens stands at a modest 13.6%. He believes this is just the beginning, anticipating a flood of new tokens and supply later in the year.

In his analysis, Hartvigsen outlined several categories of tokens that are expected to emerge in the crypto space soon. These include tokens related to Modular Infrastructure protocols, Bridges and Cross-Chain Messaging solutions, Liquid Restaking Tokens (LRTs), EigenLayer solutions, L1s, L2s, L3s, and Perpetual Decentralized Exchanges, among others.

Notably, Hartvigsen emphasized that this year’s crypto market expansion won't only come from new projects. He mentioned that several cliffs from the 2023 cohort will release substantial amounts of tokens into the market.

Hartvigsen also shared a snapshot featuring newly launched tokens he believes are promising for mid to long-term altcoin investments. Leading the list is Jupiter’s JUP, boasting a market capitalization of $1.33 billion and an FDV of $9.88 billion. Ethena’s ENA follows closely with a $1.17 billion market cap and $12.34 billion FDV.

Among the other newly launched crypto tokens highlighted by Hartvigsen are ONDO, W, STRK, and DYM, which rank among the top altcoins by market cap alongside several others introduced in the first quarter of 2024.
