June marked a positive start for digital asset investment products, with inflows totaling over $2 billion, according to CoinShares' weekly fund flows report released on June 10. This surge in inflows brought the five-week total for digital asset products to $4.3 billion, indicating renewed investor interest in the market.

CoinShares also noted a significant increase in trading volumes for exchange-traded products (ETPs), which reached $12.8 billion for the first week of June, representing a notable 55% rise compared to the previous week.

Interestingly, almost all providers of crypto ETPs saw inflows during the first week of June, a trend described by CoinShares as unusual. The asset manager suggested that this turnaround in sentiment could be attributed to weaker-than-expected macroeconomic data in the U.S., leading to expectations of monetary policy rate cuts.

Positive price action also contributed to pushing the total assets under management (AUM) above $100 billion for the first time since March 2024.

Among digital asset investment product providers, iShares exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the United States recorded the most significant inflows, with $948 million, followed by Fidelity ETFs with $680 million. However, Grayscale Investments and CoinShares XBT were the only providers to record outflows for the week.

In terms of specific assets, Bitcoin continued to dominate the ETP space with $1.97 billion for the week. Additionally, Ethereum-based products saw a notable inflow of $69 million, their best performance since March. CoinShares attributed this surge to the recent approval of Ether-based spot ETFs by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in the U.S. on May 23.

While Ethereum enjoyed strong inflows, altcoin-based ETPs, such as Fantom and XRP, saw minor activities, with inflows of $1.4 million and $1.2 million, respectively. Despite this, the overall trend in crypto inflows signals growing investor confidence, supported by both macroeconomic factors and positive developments within the crypto ecosystem.
