Investor confidence in crypto-related investment products surged last week, driven by favorable US macroeconomic conditions.

According to the latest weekly report from CoinShares, these financial instruments attracted net inflows of $2 billion, matching the total inflows seen in May. This marks the fifth consecutive week of positive inflows, totaling approximately $4.3 billion during this period. Notably, this is the second-longest streak of inflows since the approval of spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in January.

James Butterfill, head of research at CoinShares, highlighted widespread inflows across providers such as BlackRock, Fidelity, Proshares, Bitwise, and Purpose, with a significant reduction in outflows from Grayscale.

Butterfill attributed the inflows to "weaker-than-expected US macro data," which has raised expectations for monetary policy rate cuts. He also noted:

"The positive price action resulted in total assets under management (AuM) surpassing the $100 billion mark for the first time since March this year."

Meanwhile, trading activity for these investment products saw a notable increase after weeks of lower activity. Trading volume surged by 55% to $12.8 billion last week, significantly up from $8 billion in the previous week.

Bitcoin (BTC) remained a focal point for investors, attracting $1.9 billion in inflows. Conversely, short BTC products experienced outflows totaling $5.3 million for the third consecutive week.

Ethereum (ETH) saw a strong resurgence with $69 million in inflows, marking its best week since March. This boosted ETH's year-to-date flows to $81 million, recovering from earlier losses prior to the SEC's approval of several spot Ethereum ETF 19b-4 filings.

Among other altcoins, minor inflows were recorded, with notable activity seen in Fantom and XRP, which attracted inflows of $1.4 million and $1.2 million, respectively.
