The cryptocurrency market experienced a significant downturn on June 24, 2024, with Bitcoin (BTC) slipping below the $63,000 mark and other major altcoins following suit.

Bitcoin, the dominant cryptocurrency, saw a 2.40% decline, trading at $62,897.78. Its 24-hour lows and highs were recorded at $62,683.01 and $64,408.84, respectively.

Ethereum (ETH), the second-largest cryptocurrency, also faced a 3.04% drop, trading at $3,405.66. Its 24-hour price range was between $3,387.72 and $3,519.32.

Other top cryptocurrencies, such as Solana (SOL) and Ripple (XRP), experienced similar declines of 5.73% and 2.39%, respectively.

The meme coins sector, including Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB), also mirrored the broader market's downward trend, with prices falling between 2% and 8%.

Notably, the global cryptocurrency market cap plunged by 2.37% to $2.29 trillion, while the total market volume saw a 23.68% increase to $42.51 billion.

Despite the widespread losses, one cryptocurrency, UNUS SED LEO (LEO), managed to eke out a slight gain of 0.41%, trading at $5.78.

On the other hand, the biggest losers of the day included LayerZero (ZRO), JasmyCoin (JASMY), dogwifhat (WIF), and Ethereum Name Service (ENS), with declines ranging from 10% to 12%.
