According to Crypto.com's report on the size of the crypto market, the global number of cryptocurrency owners surged by 34% in 2023, with expenditures rising from 432 million in January to 580 million by December. Despite challenges like monetary constraints and geopolitical tensions in 2022, growth persisted.

In the first half of 2023, growth was modest due to Ethereum's successful scaling in Shanghai, while Bitcoin ETF registrations drove growth in the latter half. BTC ownership rose by 33%, from 222 million to 296 million, and ETH ownership increased by 39%, from 89 million to 124 million.

Crypto.com's expansion was fueled by certifications, partnerships, and product launches, including certifications from regulatory authorities in Dubai and Singapore, and approvals from banking institutions in Spain, the Netherlands, and the UK. Despite hurdles, CEO Kris Marszalek emphasized the company's commitment to innovation and progress.
