CryptoPunk #635 exchanged hands for 4,000 ETH, equivalent to $12.41 million, as reported by the CryptoPunks sales platform on April 25. Notably, the seller opted for a lower offer compared to a previous bid made earlier. Back on March 5, a bidder had offered 4,440 ETH, valued at $16.38 million at the time, before retracting the bid on April 22.

Among the collection of 10,000 CryptoPunks, #635 stands out as one of nine "AlienPunks," a rarity that enhances its appeal. Additionally, it boasts additional relatively rare features, including a bandana and regular shades.

This sale ranks as the third-most expensive CryptoPunk transaction of the year, trailing behind the sales of CryptoPunk #7804 for 4,850 ETH, valued at $16.42 million, on March 20, and CryptoPunk #3100 for 4,500 ETH ($16 million) on March 4.

Throughout the year, CryptoPunk has maintained a robust floor price, contrasting with the struggles of its competitors, as indicated by The Block's Data Dashboard. Currently, the floor price for CryptoPunks hovers around 38 ETH ($118,400), while the floor price for Bored Ape Yacht Club has declined to approximately 12.2 ETH ($38,000).
