EYWA, a innovative consensus bridge designed to secure transactions across multiple blockchain protocols, has successfully raised a total of $7 million in a seed funding round led by Michael Egorov, the founder of Curve Finance. The funding round also attracted participation from prominent venture capital firms Fenbushi Capital and GBV Capital, joining existing investors such as Big Brain Holdings, Marshland Capital, and Mulana Capital.

The investment in EYWA marks a significant milestone in the project's quest to deliver a new era of Web3 interoperability. EYWA and Curve Finance are collaborating to develop a trustless bridge that relies on a consensus of the most reliable messaging protocols available, eliminating dependence on a single bridge for moving large liquidity positions across different blockchain networks.

Michael Egorov, the founder of Curve Finance, expressed his excitement about EYWA's innovative approach, stating, "EYWA builds a very interesting solution — it's not just your typical bridge. They solve the problem of liquidity fragmentation between chains by creatively composing Curve meta pools and the actual bridge. Having one liquidity pool working across multiple chains sounds like magic, and it is exciting to have Curve AMMs in the core of this magic."

At the heart of this cross-chain magic is CrossCurve, an innovative decentralized exchange (DEX) conceived through the partnership between EYWA and Curve. CrossCurve facilitates low-slippage cross-chain swaps of various asset types, supported by Curve's deep liquidity pools worth billions of dollars. The platform supports seamless transfers of multiple token types, including stablecoins, liquidity provider tokens, and liquid staking tokens.

The overarching goal of EYWA and CrossCurve is to reshape the decentralized finance (DeFi) landscape, making cross-chain transfers more intuitive and less painful while creating a one-stop-shop for traders. Major blockchains like Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain (BSC), Polygon, Avalanche, Arbitrum, and Optimism are already integrated into the CrossCurve platform, with plans to support more networks in the future.

The fresh funding comes on the heels of EYWA's recent success at the Start In Block competition during Paris Blockchain Week, where the project won first place among more than 800 Web3 startups with high potential. EYWA also advanced to the next round of the popular show "Meet The Drapers," where aspiring entrepreneurs compete for $1 million in funding from billionaire investor Tim Draper and a panel of guest judges.

Additionally, EYWA has launched the EYWA Adventure Quest, an airdrop campaign that gives participants a chance to win a share of 50 million $EYWA tokens. Participants can earn points by generating trading volume through swaps on CrossCurve, providing liquidity to CrossCurve pools (earning 50% of swap fees), earning exclusive EYWA NFTs by completing tasks on Galxe, and referring others to join CrossCurve.

While the native $EYWA token has yet to launch, the project has announced that a date for the token generation event will be revealed soon.
