ALEX Lab, a leading decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol, has suffered a significant security breach, resulting in the theft of $4.3 million worth of various cryptocurrencies. The hack targeted the protocol's XLink bridge, which enables token transfers between different blockchain networks.

The attacker gained control of the private key associated with the bridge, allowing them to withdraw and transfer the funds. ALEX Lab developers quickly confirmed the hack and offered a 10% reward for the return of 90% of the stolen funds, with no follow-up or law enforcement intervention if the terms are met.

In response to the hack, major crypto exchanges froze the funds associated with the hacker to prevent misuse. This swift action reflects the ongoing effort to mitigate the impact of hack attacks in the crypto world and protect users' funds.
