Deutsche Bank has embarked on a groundbreaking collaboration with the Monetary Authority of Singapore's Project Guardian to pioneer the implementation of asset tokenization.

As part of this innovative endeavor, the German financial powerhouse will participate in the asset and wealth management workstream, delving into the exploration of an interoperable blockchain platform tailored to offer services to tokenized and digital funds. In a recent release, it was revealed that Deutsche Bank will play a pivotal role in proposing protocol standards and best practices to streamline asset tokenization.

Boon-Hiong Chan, Deutsche Bank's Asia Pacific Head of Securities and Technology Advocacy, will spearhead the bank's involvement in Project Guardian. Working in tandem with Memento Blockchain, a leading web3 firm, and Interop Labs, the developer behind the web3 interoperability protocol Axelar Network, Chan aims to drive forward the development and implementation of asset tokenization solutions.

Anand Rengarajan, Deutsche Bank's Head of Securities Services for Asia Pacific and the Middle East, as well as the Global Head of Sales, expressed enthusiasm about the bank's participation in Project Guardian. Rengarajan emphasized the significance of this collaboration in shaping the future of asset servicing, enhancing industry progress, and surpassing client expectations.
