Dora Factory, a prominent provider of blockchain infrastructure, distributed its native DORA token to over 1 million Cosmos Hub stakers on June 5th to encourage involvement in ecosystem governance and decentralized funding initiatives.

Specializing in decentralized governance and tools for funding public goods, Dora Factory has developed technologies like Dora Vota and Public Good Staking to advance decentralized decision-making.

Regarding public goods funding, following the airdrop, the project announced that Cosmos communities could participate in the ATOM Economic Zone (AEZ) quadratic funding program. This initiative, in collaboration with DoraHacks and Atom Accelerator DAO, aims to rally decentralized communities to support public goods projects through collective fundraising.

Cosmos users can engage by using their ATOM tokens to vote and donate to public goods teams they wish to support. The initiative intends to assist early-stage developers and determine the distribution of an 80,000 ATOM and $200,000 USDC matching pool across ten rounds of AEZ Quadratic Funding and MACI voting. The smart contracts for this voting round are deployed on the Dora Vota network, allowing the community to utilize the airdropped DORA tokens for transaction fees.

The team highlighted that the initiative goes beyond merely distributing the reward pool to early-stage projects and crucial public goods within AEZ. They described it as a democratic governance experiment aimed at leveraging community power to support public goods and promising developers.

In addition to public goods funding, Dora Factory introduced an innovative on-chain voting system with enhanced privacy features called Minimal Anti-Collusion Infrastructure (MACI). This system enables community members to vote and review projects anonymously while safeguarding their identities.

The team disclosed that they had whitelisted a historic 1 million addresses for participation in testing MACI privacy voting and would allocate $20,000 USDC stablecoin to selected teams. Dora Factory will cover all voting fees for this round through the Gas Station feature of Dora Vota.

MACI voting has the potential to revolutionize on-chain governance for the Cosmos community and other blockchains, streamlining decentralized decision-making while reducing costs.
