Dora Factory, a prominent provider of blockchain infrastructure, distributed its native DORA tokens to over 1 million Cosmos Hub stakers on June 5. This initiative aims to enhance engagement in ecosystem governance and decentralized funding activities.

Specializing in decentralized governance and tools for funding public goods, Dora Factory has developed technologies like Dora Vota and Public Good Staking.

Regarding public goods funding, following the airdrop, the project announced that Cosmos communities could participate in the ATOM Economic Zone (AEZ) quadratic funding program. This collaborative effort with DoraHacks and Atom Accelerator DAO aims to rally decentralized communities to support public goods projects through fundraising.

Participants in Cosmos can use their ATOM tokens to vote and donate to favored public goods teams. The initiative plans to distribute an 80,000 ATOM and $200,000 USDC matching pool across ten rounds of AEZ Quadratic Funding and MACI voting. Smart contracts for this round are deployed on the Dora Vota network, utilizing the airdropped DORA tokens for gas fees.

The team emphasized that the initiative is more than a reward distribution to early-stage projects and critical public goods in AEZ. It is also an experiment in democratic governance, leveraging community influence to support public goods and emerging developers.

Additionally, Dora Factory launched MACI (Minimal Anti-Collusion Infrastructure), an innovative on-chain voting system with enhanced privacy features. This system allows community members to vote and review projects anonymously while safeguarding their identities.

In a significant move, Dora Factory whitelisted 1 million addresses to participate in MACI privacy voting tests and allocated $20,000 USDC stablecoin to selected teams. The voting fees for this round are covered through Dora Vota’s Gas Station feature.

MACI voting has the potential to transform on-chain governance for the Cosmos community and other blockchains, streamlining decentralized decision-making while reducing costs.
