The Layer 1 blockchain network, Aptos, has welcomed the extension of dWallet Network’s technology. The goal of this action is to integrate Zero Trust Protocols (ZTPs) with built-in multi-chain interoperability into the Aptos gaming and decentralised finance (DeFi) ecosystems. ZTPs built on Aptos will be able to sign transactions on Bitcoin, Ethereum, or any other blockchain network without the use of bridging or token wrapping techniques thanks to the integration of dWallet’s Zero Trust architecture. To unleash multi-chain experiences is the ultimate goal.

Broadening DeFi, Gaming Within Aptos

The most recent press release, which was shared with CryptoPotato, states that this connection is especially important for Aptos-based DeFi applications. The native inclusion of BTC and ETH transactions is a significant feature that represents a breakthrough in blockchain functionality and interoperability. ZTPs are made possible, according to a statement from Omer Sadika, Co-Founder of dWallet Network, by integrating the fast and secure Aptos blockchain with the decentralised, non-collusive dWallet building block. Additionally, this would help DeFi and gaming protocols within the Aptos ecosystem reach new heights. A major step towards dWallet Network’s goal of Zero Trust and a multi-chain future, this action signifies. Aptos researcher Professor Benny Pinkas emphasised the integration even more, saying,

“The dWallet team led pioneering cryptography research to introduce the innovative 2PC-MPC protocol, enabling multi-chain Zero Trust. I’m excited about developers in the Aptos ecosystem being able to develop ZTPs that operate seamlessly across all of Web3 in a cryptographically secure way.”

The Zero Trust Framework

With the introduction of a basic building block by dWallet Network, anyone can take ownership of any asset and impose any logic on any network. Cryptographic signatures, which have historically been the standard authentication mechanism for blockchain networks, are utilised by dWallets. This means that from the network's point of view, a signature issued by dWallet cannot be distinguished from that of a regular user. This feature allows for the development of Zero Trust Protocols (ZTPs) that function across networks without the need for token-wrapping or bridging techniques, even on non-smart contract networks like Bitcoin.

These ZTPs uphold the core Web3 principles of decentralization and user ownership. dWallet’s Zero Trust framework represents a significant stride towards realizing a truly user-centric, interconnected, and flexible blockchain infrastructure.
