Orbit Chains offer versatility, serving either as Layer 2 chains settling transactions directly with Ethereum or as Layer 3 chains providing services to Arbitrum Layer 2 platform, Arbitrum One.

Blobstream presents a groundbreaking solution, particularly beneficial for deploying and managing L2 and L3 rollups. Celestia's light clients function as data availability sampling (DAS), ensuring accessibility to transaction information and state modifications, crucial for blockchain integrity and confidentiality.

Arbitrum's Orbit Chains stand to gain significantly from Blobstream's deployment, enabling them to contribute data through existing networks and Celestia, easing the burden on developers facing high costs or complexity.

Blobstream simplifies integration for developers in the Arbitrum community, eliminating the need for data availability depositing committees. Previously, developers had to manage committees, collect and maintain data, potentially slowing down projects.

Celestia and Succinct Labs collaborated on Blobstream's creation, leveraging each other's strengths. The technology utilizes Succinct Labs' zero-knowledge light client to securely transmit Celestia's data root attestation directly to Orbit contracts, enhancing transaction security and throughput.

Following its announcement, Blobstream was swiftly integrated into the Base ecosystem, showcasing its rapid applicability across different blockchain networks.
