IntentX, a decentralized perpetual exchange, has teamed up with Layer 3 network Orbs to incorporate Orbs' Liquidity Hub. This collaboration brings Orbs Liquidity Hub into play as the primary spot engine for IntentX, granting users access to spot orders and the perpetual contracts marketplace.

Orbs Liquidity Hub, a DeFi infrastructure platform operating on automated market makers (AMMs), addresses the fragmented liquidity across decentralized exchanges (DEXs). By aggregating liquidity from both on-chain and off-chain sources, the platform empowers DEXs to tap into external liquidity sources, offering more competitive rates compared to AMMs.

Joining the ranks of partners like Quickswap on Polygon and THENA on the BNB chain, IntentX becomes the latest addition to Orbs Liquidity Hub. Notably, IntentX is the pioneering platform on Base, the Coinbase Layer 2 chain, to join the Liquidity Hub, enabling users to access optimal deals without the constraints of AMMs and their associated price impacts. This integration marks a significant milestone, positioning Orbs Liquidity Hub as a unique platform devoid of a DEX AMM.

Orbs Liquidity Hub functions by leveraging liquidity from external and on-chain sources. Through on-chain solver auctions and decentralized orders via its API, the Hub sources liquidity, diverging from the conventional swaps on DEXs facilitated by AMMs.

The Hub's mechanism allows third-party solvers to participate in auctions, utilizing their private inventory or on-chain liquidity AMM pools to fulfill swaps. Additionally, decentralized orders from external sources accessible via APIs enable professional and institutional traders, such as market makers, to place bids and compete in executing swaps.
