Etherisc has integrated Chainlink CCIP, enabling simplified token transfers for its conventional token, DIP, to connect with Ethereum and the Base Layer2 network. This collaboration enhances decentralized insurance by enabling secure on-chain connectivity, facilitated by Chainlink. This marks the initial use case of CCIP for Etherisc, with plans to leverage CCIP Messaging for developing multichain dApps essential for staking and interfacing with insurance services across various chains.

Etherisc aims to evolve its ecosystem into a universal option for insurance within the blockchain economy, overcoming challenges such as Ethereum network congestion and rising transaction fees by adopting the Base network. Base, developed by Coinbase as a Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum, offers faster transactions while retaining the security of the Ethereum mainnet. It boasts lower fees, enhanced upgradability, and seamless integration with Coinbase's user base and assets.

Currently, most DIP tokens reside on the Ethereum mainnet and are utilized for staking. In the near future, token holders will be able to trade DIP on Base Uniswap, benefiting from its innovative and cost-efficient system. Tokens on the Ethereum mainnet can be bridged to Base using XSwap and carrier.io, both powered by Chainlink CCIP.

According to Etherisc CEO Christoph Mussenbrock, they rely on Chainlink's benchmark platform for cross-chain services and utilize CCIP for its security features. Chainlink provides advanced security features, while CCIP is supported by a risk management network that monitors and authenticates cross-chain operations for potential anomalies.

Etherisc has been involved in blockchain insurance since 2016, offering the GIF platform for building parametric insurance products on the blockchain, leveraging blockchain technology to facilitate insurance transactions effectively.
