The United States pro-crypto super political action committee (PAC) Fairshake has received a substantial boost with a $25 million contribution from Andreessen Horowitz’s crypto and Web3 venture fund. This announcement follows closely on the heels of a similar $25 million donation from Ripple, marking the second major financial endorsement in two days.

The recent donation was confirmed by A16z managing partner, who emphasized the venture fund’s commitment to supporting Fairshake and its affiliated PACs, Defend American Jobs and Protect Progress. With this new contribution, Andreessen Horowitz’s total giving to Fairshake amounts to $47 million over the past two years, as highlighted in a tweet by the firm's representative.

A Unified Effort for Crypto Regulation

The generous donations from Andreessen Horowitz and Ripple underscore the crypto industry's drive to influence regulatory frameworks in the United States. These ads, described by The Sacramento Bee as “mostly false,” reflect the PAC's aggressive political tactics.

There is particular interest in whether the super PAC will support crypto lawyer John Deaton in his Senate race against vocal crypto critic Elizabeth Warren in Massachusetts.
