If you’ve spent a good amount of time in the crypto space, you most likely have heard about the Mt. Gox collapse that took place 10 years ago due to a hack. Well, it’s about to be payday for those who lost their funds in the hack as on-chain activity shows that $9.6 billion worth of Bitcoin was recently moved from Mt. Gox-related wallets, ahead of the repayment deadline on October 31st. This serves as a beam of hope for creditors who have since lost hope in ever seeing their lost funds since the exchange filed for bankruptcy in 2014 and closed withdrawals.

The repayment is scheduled to be in batches to minimize the high price volatility that could result from releasing all the planned tokens at once. Creditors await the repayment of their overdue debt.
