On April 9, two financial advisors shared their investments in spot Bitcoin ETFs.

Signal Advisors, a Michigan-based startup catering to independent financial advisors, disclosed ownership of 20,571 BlackRock iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) shares.

Wedmont Private Capital, an RIA based in Philadelphia, revealed ownership of 3,471 shares of Fidelity Bitcoin ETF (FBTC).

These Bitcoin ETF investments represent a small portion of each company's overall investment portfolio. Wedmont manages over $1.3 billion in assets under management (AUM), while Signal's AUM is approximately $403 million.

The firms' portfolios primarily consist of traditional ETFs, stock investments, and various assets.

Starting to Embrace Bitcoin

Signal and Wedmont's investments indicate that financial advisors and related companies are starting to add spot Bitcoin ETFs to their portfolios. These two firms are among the early adopters of incorporating Bitcoin into their investment strategies.

Burkett Financial Services also disclosed its ownership of IBIT and ProShares' Bitcoin Strategy ETF (BITO) shares on April 1.

Experts predict that more similar disclosures will follow, with an increase in filings expected in the coming weeks.

Cetera Financial Group recently introduced an initiative to assist financial advisors in integrating spot Bitcoin ETFs into investment strategies to meet the growing demand for Bitcoin investment opportunities. Cetera, a major player in the US wealth management sector, boasts a network of over 12,000 financial advisors and around $475 billion in AUM.

Growing Inflows

Inflows into spot Bitcoin ETFs showcase strong performance and increased demand from private entities. Data from Farside on April 9 indicates that spot Bitcoin ETFs have collectively received $12.3 billion in total inflows, including outflows from GBTC, as of April 10.

The two largest funds have amassed billions within the first three months post-launch, with IBIT currently holding $14.7 billion in total inflows, and Fidelity FBTC crossing $7.9 billion.

These funds have been setting records in the ETF market and have experienced over 60 consecutive days without any outflows.

Short-term data shared by CoinShares on April 8 revealed that spot Bitcoin ETFs saw high inflows of $646 million during the first week of April despite a downturn at the beginning of the month.
