German-speaking investors from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland are increasingly drawn to the world of cryptocurrencies. A study conducted by KPMG and BTC-ECHO found that over half of the 2,400 private investors surveyed allocated more than 20% of their total investments to digital assets. This trend indicates a strong commitment to the industry for at least 3 to 5 years, with renewed confidence and enthusiasm for digital currencies.

The study highlights the growing importance of digital assets, despite the sector's volatility. Investors are currently optimistic about the future, with high interest in currency investments. Specifically, 54% of those surveyed invested more than 20% of their total assets in digital currencies, and 67% of those investing over 50% of their assets are in it for the medium to long term.

However, market entrants are becoming more cautious, taking more time to evaluate their investment opportunities. Providers must work harder to convert interested parties into customers. Security, deposit and withdrawal options, and transaction costs remain crucial factors for investors when selecting their preferred exchanges.

The survey also reveals that one in three investors considers their investment in digital assets to be "rather safe," a significant increase from the previous year's 11%. However, 43% still view it as "rather risky," 18% as "risky," and 5% as "very risky." The most significant risks investors perceive are market manipulation, regulation, and financial crime.
