On May 14, 2024, TRON DAO announced that Google Cloud has become a Super Representative candidate on the TRON blockchain. Super Representatives are tasked with producing blocks and processing transactions to ensure the network's governance. This partnership builds on TRON’s previous collaboration with Google Cloud, which made TRON’s data accessible on BigQuery, Google Cloud’s data warehouse. This integration allows developers to perform advanced analytics on TRON blockchain transactions and smart contracts, enhancing data-driven decision-making and the development of sophisticated decentralized applications (dApps).

In addition to data analytics, TRON will leverage Google Cloud's suite of Web3 solutions, including Compute Engine for scalable computing resources and Kubernetes Engine for managing containerized applications. Dave Uhriyniak, Ecosystem Lead at TRON DAO, highlighted the significance of this collaboration in advancing TRON’s goal of decentralizing the web and mainstreaming blockchain technology. Google Cloud's participation as a Super Representative candidate reflects a shared vision for a secure and innovative decentralized future.

Rishi Ramchandani, Head of APAC Web3 at Google Cloud, emphasized their commitment to providing efficient, secure, and reliable infrastructure for developers building Web3 products. The collaboration aims to support the TRON ecosystem, which is known for its high-performance blockchain that facilitates fast, low-cost transactions and supports smart contracts, dApps, and various digital assets. This makes TRON an attractive platform for developers and users.

TRON DAO, founded in September 2017, is dedicated to decentralizing the internet through blockchain technology and dApps. The TRON network has seen significant growth, boasting over 223.3 million user accounts, $23.4 billion in total value locked, more than 7.4 billion transactions, and $11.5 trillion in aggregate transfer value as of April 2024. It also hosts the largest circulating supply of USD Tether (USDT) stablecoin, surpassing Ethereum since April 2021. The network achieved full decentralization in December 2021 and now operates as a community-governed DAO. In October 2022, TRON was chosen as the national blockchain infrastructure for the Commonwealth of Dominica, marking the first such partnership between a sovereign nation and a public blockchain.
